Rules and Regulation


General
  1. ALL teams are to report half an hour before flag off timing at the designated meeting area.
  2. Participants are STRONGLY discouraged to bring any valuables. Personal belongings can be checked in at the deposit area. However, SIM ODAC will not be held responsible for any loss or damages of item. ALL DEPOSITS ARE TO BE DONE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
  3. Race singlet must either be worn or worn on the outside of clothing at all time for identification purpose. Violators will not be allowed to take part in the race.
  4. Electronic devices other than watches are prohibited in the race. (Eg. Any form of communication devices, radio etc.)
  5. Please waterproof any necessary equipment as there will be water element activities.
  6. Teams are to follow the designated route shown by route signs along the way or instructions from station masters. Any forms of shortcut/bashing/cutting corners are prohibited. Violators will be unranked.
  7. Members of the team are to stay together at ALL TIMES. Any violators will be disqualified.
  8. Teams that did not complete ALL designated stations will be unranked. However, continuation of the race will be permitted.
  9. Teams with members who fall out at any point of the race will be unranked.
Registration and pre-requisites
  1. Registration fees have to be made in full latest before pre-race briefing, _________. Participants are not allowed to withdraw after registering, however able to find replacement of same gender given prior notice before pre-race briefing. No refund will be made as equipments are catered and arranged as soon as registration is confirmed.
  2. All teams are to send at least one member to attend the pre-race briefing. Any teams unable to do so are required to send at least a representative to do so with letter of authorization.
  3. All teams will consist of 4 members, with minimum a female or vice versa.
  4. Participants aged 16 and above are qualified to take part in the race.
  5. Participants are to possess a basic cycling proficiency.
  6. Participants are to possess a basic buoyancy proficiency. (water elements will have life jackets provided and no swimming is needed)
Participants' Responsibility
  1. Every participant is responsible and answerable to their decision and judgment to take part or to continue the race. However, SIM ODAC reserves every right to stop a participant from starting or continuing the race should SIM ODAC deem the participant as physically or mentally unfit to do so. SIM ODAC's decision will be final.
  2. Participants are to ensure that they have sufficient rest, well-hydrated and abstain from alcohol consumption prior to the race day itself.
  3. Should participants feel unwell or need medical attention, please approach the nearest checkpoint/officials/station/marshals along the race route.
  4. Participants are strongly advised to adhere to traffic rules throughout the race.
  5. Information sharing between teams during race is strongly prohibited. Teams which violate this rule will be disqualified. SIM ODAC's decision will be final.
  6. Vandalism of route signs/instructions along the race route is a serious offence. Violators will be prosecuted and disqualified. SIM ODAC's decision will be final.
SIM ODAC'S Responsibility
  1. All checkpoints will be contactable by the Race organizing committee. This is to ensure there will be quick response to any emergency needs.
  2. First-aid and water re-hydration post will be available along the race route.
  3. Should there be heavy shower and lightning at the start of the race, SIM ODAC reserves every right to withhold the flag off time until deem safe by SIM ODAC.
  4. Should the inclement weather persist, SIM ODAC reserves every right to cancel the whole event without refund of the registration fees given the interest of the participants' safety. SIM ODAC's decision is final.
  5. Should inclement weather occur in the midst of the race, SIM ODAC reserves the right to suspend the race until deemed safe to. Participants are to seek for shelter along the route and stay away from high vegetations. The race will be resumed should the weather clear. Further instructions will be given.


Failure to adhere to any of the above mentioned rules and regulations can result in automatic DISQUALIFICATION of the entire team. SIM ODAC's decision is final
