Xtreme Trail, which was first introduced in December 2008, is a sprint adventure race(12 hrs or less),organized mainly to promote the growing sport of adventure racing to SIM students, adventure and endurance sports enthusiasts from all over Singapore and hopefully the region. This year, Singapore Institute of Management’s Outdoor Activities Club (SIM ODAC) will be staging its third edition of its annual adventure race, X-treme Trail III. Last organised in 2009, this adventure race is organised for outdoor enthusiasts or adventure racers in Singapore -testing their physical endurance, mental limits, outdoor proficiency and attributes such as teamwork.
This year, the current 15th Executive Committee of SIM ODAC has established systematic plans to develop this event that has cultivated significant interest amongst the adventure racers in Singapore. And we aimed to continue like the previous editions, and continue to incorporate experiential learning through outdoor education into our race and hope to let the participants of X-treme fully appreciate the great outdoors and all that is has to offer.
